It didn’t take long for former UFC light heavyweight Keith Jardine to find a new home, as the “Dean of Mean” will be making his debut for Shark Fights against Trevor Prangley on September 11th.
“I’m looking forward to getting back in the cage after my last feeble performance,” Prangley told Sherdog.com. “Keith is a super tough opponent and a real nice guy. It’s good to see Shark Fights getting the higher caliber fighters and putting on consistently better shows.”
After losing his fourth straight bout inside the Octagon at “The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale,” Jardine was released by the company that helped make him famous. As an alumnus of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show, Jardine fought under the UFC banner 13-times and compared his release to “losing family.”
Now, he’s looking to piece his career back together against an experienced journeyman.
According to the report, the Lubbock, Texas event will air on pay-per-view and should feature other notable names. The upstart promotion has experienced a nice run of success, as they have pulled in over 10,000 fans to each of their last two events.
