The world’s biggest MMA promotion is adding another welterweight bout to UFC 120, which is set to air for free via tape-delay on Spike TV, as Claude Patrick takes on the former winner of “The Ultimate Fighter” James Wilks.
Mauro Renallo of The Fight Show was the first to report the news and Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com has since confirmed the bout.
A former member of the now defunct IFL, Patrick (12-1) made his Octagon debut at UFC 115 where he was victorious over Ricardo Funch.
Season 9’s winner of “The Ultimate Fighter” got off to a rocky start after securing a six-figure contract. He suffered a TKO loss to Matt Brown at UFC 105 in his next outing, but managed to bounce back with a W at UFC 115 last month.
UFC 120 is scheduled for October 16th and will take place at the O2 Arena in London, England. The event will feature a middleweight showdown between Michael Bisping and Yoshihiro Akiyama.
Here’s a look at UFC 120’s rumored card:
John Hathaway vs. Dong Hyun Kim
Claude Patrick vs. James Wilks
James McSweeney vs. Tom Blackledge
Cheick Kongo vs. Travis Browne
Dan Hardy vs. Carlos Condit
