We’re just days away from snapping one of the longest MMA droughts in 2010 when Jon Jones looks to continue his light heavyweight accent this Sunday against veteran Vladimir Matyushenko inside the San Diego Sports Arena in California.
As expected, “Bones” is a significant favorite to continue down his dominant path and bump his record to 11-1. Despite Matyushenko’s decorated resume, the Gambling Gods have pegged the journeyman a 4-to-1 underdog against the fast-rising superstar.
I have mentioned countless times how tempting that Mark Munoz line has looked and my feelings haven’t changed. It will be interesting to see how the money moves as game time approaches, however Yushin Okami at more than a 2-to-1 favorite against a fighter as relentless as “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” appears to have Upset City written all over it.
The Versus Network will broadcast the show live beginning at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
