WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown will be defending his strap against Jose Aldo at a-yet-to-be-announced WEC 45 event on November 11th. Although not confirmed, the promotion will most likely be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 5Round affair was first reported by InTheGuard.tv, which was told by Aldo himself that he had already signed and submitted his bout agreement to the organization.
The 33-year-old Brown holds an impressive 22-4 professional record, with his most recent win coming against former 145-pound king Urijah Faber at WEC 41 last month. He has been prefect through his last 10 tussles and has taken the WEC’s most touted weight class by storm since his arrival last year.
Aldo is no slouch himself as he stakes claim to a dominating 14-1 pro mark. The Brazilian is currently riding an eight-fight winning streak of his own, with his most recent victory being his most impressive.
Aldo caught MMA vet Cub Swanson with a nasty flying knee at :08 in the 1stRound of their WEC 41 fight, knocking Swanson completely from his senses and launching Aldo into top contender status.
