On today’s broadcast of Inside MMA on HDNet, UFC Heavyweight Justin McCully was a guest on the panel today and he let everyone know that first off his elbow is fine and that, “I’ll be back in action in the Octagon for sure by June.” Coincidentally enough, June is the card that Brock Lesnar is rumored to being placed on as his second fight in the UFC.

McCully went on to say, “we’ve been talking about fighting this big huge guy [that] just crossed over from a wrestling promotion, that’s in the talk right now. We’ll see, I hope it comes through, I like that fight a lot.”

That big huge guy would be none other than Brock Lesnar, but this is all speculation at the moment as the UFC would obviously want to put Lesnar in the Octagon against somebody that he would have a good shot at beating but McCully might not be that guy.

McCully was originally scheduled to face Cheick Kongo at UFC 82: Pride of a Champion on March 1st, but he was forced to pull out due to his aforementioned elbow injury. McCully has been replaced by Heath Herring, but now he’s looking to return to the Octagon and possibly face one of the most recognizable guys in Mixed Martial Arts right now in Brock Lesnar.
