Full Contact Fighter is reporting that Hardcore Championship Fighting has terminated the contract of Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos because of his apparent agreement to face Makoto Takimoto at World Victory Road’s “Sengoku” on March 5th. Santos was scheduled to face former UFC fighter David Loiseau on March 29th at HCF’s “Crow’s Nest” event.

On the bright side, Ron Kruk of Inside MMA also reported that “Cyborg” has signed a three-fight agreement with Strikeforce.

Renato “Babalu” Sobral also has an agreement to fight outside of HCF but according to HCF CEO Keith Crawford, “Mr. Santos chose to execute a competing contract inside the minimum time period allowed by HCF’s terms for fighters to engage in other events”.

If you haven’t followed Santos’ career, he has a pro record of 15-11-0 and has fought in PRIDE, Cage Rage as well as the aforementioned HCF.
