All of the participants slated to compete in tomorrow’s Dream.10 event tipped the scales today in Saitama, Japan, with each fighter eventually hitting their required weight. It took Welterweight Grand Prix front-runner Hayato “Mach” Sakurai over seven hours to hit the 76 kg (167.2 lb.) maximum.
Because Japan does not have a commissioning body, and Dream was intent on allowing the Japanese sensation as much time as he needed to hit his mark, Sakurai ultimately made weight on his third attempt after initially coming in 0.6 kg (1.3 lb.) over the limit.
