On Thursday, the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission suspended 10 “UFC 118: Edgar vs. Penn 2″ contestants for various injuries sustained in their respective scraps this past Saturday inside the TD Garden in Boston.

Although reigning lightweight champ Frankie Edgar and challenger BJ Penn fought a complete 25 minute battle, neither 155-pounder will be forced to ride the pine.

To the surprise of no one, Randy Couture was also excluded from UFC 118’s IR list for his brief, yet dominant, outing against boxing superstar James Toney. While “Lights Out” also avoided receiving a medical suspension, he was permanently banned from any and all future Octagon action immediately following his 3:19 drubbing.
