According to reports, a pivotal lightweight bout between Joe Lauzon and George Sotiropoulos will go down at UFC 123 on November 20th at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Michigan.
MMAMania.com confirmed the scrap with sources close to the situation on Wednesday.
Lauzon was last seen steamrolling Gabe Ruediger at UFC 118. He owns an impressive 19-5 professional and could very well propel himself into a championship fight with an impressive win over the talented Aussie.
Speaking of top contender status, Sotiropoulos is very close to earning himself a 5Round affair as well. He posted a convincing unanimous decision victory over submission specialist Kurt Pellegrino at UFC 116 this past July.
UFC 123 will feature a light heavyweight match-up between former champs Lyoto Machida and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
