Ngo-stradamus is predicting ESPN2 will receive a dramatic spike in their ratings this Thursday night starting at 10PM PT/1AM ET. While the almighty one has made outrageous predictions in the past, MMA Live host Jon Anik let the cat out of the bag by announcing Chael Sonnen will be an in-studio guest on this week’s show.

This past Sunday, the MMA world got flipped upside down when Sherdog.com reported Sonnen had flunked his UFC 117 drug screening. After much speculation over what type of substance triggered the positive read, California State Athletic Commission executive director George Dodd told SI.com the 33-year-old confessed to using an illegal performance-enhancing drug leading up to his showdown with middleweight king Anderson Silva.

It’s been reported that Sonnen tested positive for “abnormally high levels of testosterone” due to the use of an “unnatural substance.”

After four days of deafening silence, Team Sonnen finally issued a statement to MMAFighting.com today. Mike Roberts, Sonnen’s manager, said they intend to appeal the positive result with the CSAC.

Now that Sonnen has opted to move forward with his protest, the witty wordsman will have the opportunity to speak at the commission’s next meeting on December 2nd in Sacramento.

But first, he’s going to face ESPN2’s firing squad on Thursday. Get your popcorn ready.
