Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell recently spoke to The Sun, where he discussed the possibility of moving up to the Heavyweight division as long as he’s, “done with everything at light heavyweight”. Obviously Liddell has his work cut out for him in the Light Heavyweight division though with an upcoming fight against Rashad Evans in June.
There’s also the distinct possibility that he would get a title shot against either Quinton Jackson or Forrest Griffin, where if successful he could find himself fighting either Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Keith Jardine or Wanderlei Silva.
Chuck didn’t sound worried about moving up in weight though, “the top guys up there aren’t all that big heavyweights. Randy was but I knocked him out twice”, Liddell continued.
Chuck’s next fight will be in June at UFC 85 from the O2 Arena in London, England against Rashad Evans who is replacing the injured “Shogun”. Evans is still undefeated as a professional MMA fighter.
