WEC Bantamweight Champ Jose Aldo

While most fans were disappointed with the inconsistent activity during last Saturday’s UFC 119 per-per-view broadcast, gambleholics were thoroughly disgusted with the lack of underdog action that came through. Thankfully, tonight’s WEC 51 event features plenty of heavy favorites, so the potential for some longshot lovin’ is definitely alive.

A featherweight title bout between champion Jose Aldo and Manny Gamburyan will headline the star-studded card. Aldo owns a dominant 17-1 professional record and is quickly making his way towards the top of the world’s best pound-for-pound list.

Gamburyan is perfect through his first three WEC fights and will look to ride that momentum into the biggest scrap of his career. He holds a respectable 11-4 record and has made a name for himself since dropping to the 145-pound division.  He slapped former title holder Mike Brown senseless in his last outing to earn a shot at the gold.

WEC 51 will be jumping off tonight inside the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado. Watch the Versus broadcast live beginning at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
