With only 19 days remaining until the curtain is drawn on “UFC 121: Lesnar vs. Velasquez,” the world’s premier mixed martial arts promotion has announced the complete cast of characters that will round out one of the deepest fight cards of 2010.

Heavyweight king Brock Lesnar will defend his strap against fast-rising stud Cain Velasquez in the night’s featured attraction.

Former Strikeforce middleweight champ Jake Shields will not only be making his long awaited Octagon debut in the card’s co-main event, but he will also be returning to the welterweight division when he meets the gritty Martin Kampmann in a critical contest.

Speaking of comebacks, former light heavyweight title holder Tito Ortiz faces Matt Hamill in his first outing since undergoing neck surgery this past May.

As customary with every Octagon event featuring Lesnar, Spike TV will kick off the festivities with a pair of freebie fights on “UFC Prelims.” The pay-per-view broadcast starts immediately after the hour-long lead-in at 10PM ET/7PM PT.
