UFC Heavyweight Stephan Struve

According to reports, a scintillating heavyweight scrap between Stefan Struve and Sean McCorkle has been added to “UFC 124: St-Pierre vs. Koscheck II.” The December 11th event takes place inside the Belle Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

MMAJunkie.com confirmed the contest with sources close to the situation late Tuesday night.

Struve owns an impressive 20-4 record and is fresh off a lights out victory over Christian Morecraft at UFC 117. “Skyscraper” has rattled off wins in nine of his last 11 outings. His two losses during that stretch came at the hands of the studly Junior dos Santos and former IFL champ Roy Nelson.

McCorkle, AKA “Big Sexy,” has created quite the following on the MMA UG Forums. He exploded onto the Octagon scene by submitting veteran Mark Hunt with a crafty kimura in the 1stRound of their UFC 119 matchup. He’s prefect through his first 10 professional fights and has posted devastating finishes in all but one.

The highly anticipated event is headlined by Montreal’s own Georges St-Pierre. The country’s most popular athlete will defend his welterweight strap against Josh Koscheck in the card’s featured attraction.

Here are the contestants expected/rumored to participate in the pay-per-view show:

Dustin Hazelett vs. Mark Bocek
Thiago Alves vs. John Howard
Stefan Struve vs. Sean McCorkle
Josh Koscheck vs. Georges St-Pierre (UFC Welterweight Champion)
