Strikeforce Welterweight Champ Nick Diaz

Understanding that tonight’s “Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Noons II” event hasn’t garnered as much attention as company brass had hoped, the Gambling Gods wanted to help the San Jose, California-based promotion out by providing a fantastic way to make this evening’s fights a little more exciting.

Despite taking a controversial TKO (Doctor’s Stoppage) victory in their initial meeting, the powers that be have pegged KJ Noons nearly a 2-to-1 underdog against mortal enemy Nick Diaz.

Their initial scrap took place three years ago and was at 160 pounds. Diaz has since moved up to capture Strikeforce’s welterweight crown, while Noons fights in the lightweight division.

If you’re able to look past Diaz’s weed-smoking, post-fight brawling ways, he is one of the game’s best all-around competitors. He’ll be riding a seven-fight winning streak into the HP Pavilion in San Jose.

Guess who handed Diaz his last defeat?

Ngo-stradamus has just informed me that Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante at +120 wouldn’t be the worst bet in the world…
