Strikeforce Heavyweight Antonio Big Foot Silva

As expected, former EliteXC heavyweight champ Antonio “Big Foot’’ Silva will be taking on Valentijn Overeem at “Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu” on December 4th. The Showtime broadcast takes place inside the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Silva holds an impressive 14-2 record and has won seven of his last eight scraps, including a lopsided decision over former UFC champion Andrei Arlovski in his last outing this past May.

“I want to fight and I’ll fight whoever they put in front of me,’’ Silva said. “My goal is to be the best and fight for a world title.’’

Valentijn, younger brother of Strikeforce heavyweight king Alistair, holds a mundane 28-23 mark, but has won his last two fights in a combined time of 47 seconds. He’ll be making his debut for Strikeforce after signing with the San Jose, California-based promotion in June.

I wonder who hooked him up with the gig???
