Dream’s debut promotion had come and gone before most Americans had even awoke, and the main event turned out to be a nightmare for MMA fans. The highly anticipated bout between Gesias “J.Z.” Calvancante and Shinya Aoki was ruled a No Contest after Calvancante threw and illegal elbow to the back of Aoki’s head. Aoki was unable to recover. The event also featured a Lightweight Grand Prix, as well as Mirko Cro Cop’s first fight since leaving the UFC.Dream held their event at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan late Saturday evening.
