After a night of freebie MMA action, UFC president Dana White awarded Michael Bisping, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Carlos Condit and Paul Sass each an additional $50,000 for their special performances at “UFC 120: Bisping vs. Akiyama” on Saturday night.
Main event fighters Michael Bisping and Yoshihiro Akiyama lived up to their top billing status by taking home “Fight of the Night” honors for their three round battle.
Carlos Condit silenced 17,133 fans inside the O2 Arena in London when he put England’s Dan Hardy to bed in the 1stRound of their welterweight shootout. Condit’s left hook not only earned him his third straight Octagon victory, but an unexpected $50K “Knockout of the Night” commission as well.
Paul Sass was awarded with “Submission of the Night” after securing a crafty triangle choke on Mark Holst in the opening round of their scrap.
