Shortly after the Octagon’s graphics department updated the official event poster for UFC 122, their media division launched the trailer to help hype the November 13th show.
The UFC’s return to German features a middleweight top contender bout between Nate Marquardt and Yushin Okami.
Vitor Belfort was scheduled to face the Japanese superstar, but made the no-brainer decision to accept a scrap against champion Anderson Silva on Super Bowl weekend instead.
Marquardt bounced back from a disappointing showing against Chael Sonnen at UFC 109 in February by quickly disposing of Rousimar Palhares at “UFC Fight Night 22” just last month.
Okami, on the other hand, is fresh off a split decision win over Mark Munoz at “UFC on Versus 2.” The talented, yet highly underrated, fighter has won five of his last six contests. His only loss during the stretch came to the aforementioned Sonnen.
The König-Pilsener-Arena in Oberhausen will host the 11-bout fight card. Spike TV will treat North Americans with a freebie same-day tape-delay broadcast of the card’s main bouts.
