Sherdog.com is reporting that Spencer “The King” Fisher has been forced to pull out of his upcoming bout against Marcus Aurelio at Ultimate Fight Night 13 due to an injury he sustained sometime during training. His manager Monte Cox told Sherdog, “he [Fisher] was willing to fight but we decided it just was not a smart decision”.Even though this fight has been scrapped from the time being, there’s no word yet on whether or not the UFC will even attempt to fill in Fisher’s spot with another fighter or take Aurelio off the card completely.

According to the report, Fisher suffered a shoulder injury that he was willing to fight with but Cox and the rest of his management decided against it as Aurelio is a very tough opponent who could take advantage of the situation. Fisher is coming back off of a tough loss to undefeated Lightweight Frank Edgar.

The event will be televised on SpikeTV and it will also be a three-hour broadcast thanks to fan support and Spike’s willingness to provide MMA fans with some great action.

We’ll post our recent interview with Frank Edgar shortly before the fight so you can hear what the undefeated Lightweight had to say to us about his upcoming fight with Xtreme Couture’s Gray Maynard.
