“Just when I thought I was out … they pull me back in.” At least that was what the WWE’s “Undertaker” attempted to do after former heavyweight king Brock Lesnar was viciously dethroned by Cain Velasquez at UFC 121.
While getting interviewed by Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com, the legendary professional wrestler made eye contact with Lesnar as he was exiting the Octagon. Coincidentally, he was standing directly where Lesnar would need to cross in order to get back to the locker room.
“You wanna do it?” he asked Lesnar just inches from his battered and bloodied face.
After an intense and awkward mean muggin’ session between the two, Lesnar continued on his way and didn’t say a peep to his former fake fighting foe.
When asked if their beef was genuine, Mr. Undertaker all but assured it was real. However, he wouldn’t elaborate outside of stating that “it was personal.”
I’ve watched plenty of WWE action in my day, and let me assure you, there’s a legitimate deep-rooted dislike brewing between the behemoths.
Thankfully, Lesnar showed great professionalism and restraint by ignoring the ridiculous challenge.
