Today, Spike TV announced “Countdown to UFC 123” will make its debut on November 15th. This edition of the highly popular series features former light heavyweight champs Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Lyoto Machida as they prepare for their meeting in Motown.
The show debuts at 11PM ET/PT on Spike, with replays available on November 17th at 7PM ET/PT and November 20th at 6PM ET/PT.
After being humbled by bitter rival Rashad Evans in his last outing at UFC 114, Rampage was quickly put to work at his part-time gig as the hype man for his summer film The A-Team. Now that B.A. Baracus has fulfilled his commitments on the silver screen, it’s time to get back to his day job.
Machida lost the light heavyweight crown to reigning champ Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 113. After being handed his first professional blemish, “The Dragon” called upon his old Brazilian buddy Anderson Silva, as well as the studs up at American Kickboxing Academy, to help him recapture his mojo.
A violent win by either fighter could have them right back in the 205-pound title picture.
The pay-per-view broadcast takes place inside The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan.
