Lesnar: “Bad Move on Josh’s Part” – The latest to jump on the Bash Josh Barnett Bandwagon is UFC champion Brock Lesnar.  Lesnar talks Barnett and eventually taking on WAMMA champ Fedor Emelianenko.

“I don’t like to talk bad about anybody. I think it was a poor decision on Josh’s part,” the brash champion told The Jim Rome Show. “I think it’s probably a career-ending decision for him.”

It turns out that it was more than just the end of Barnett’s career, but also the end of Affliction Entertainment as an MMA organization. They officially packed it in just hours after canceling their “Trilogy” event.

As always, Lesnar was quick to make Barnett’s positive drug test all about him as he gloated in the irony that has become his life.

“I was talking to the wife yesterday when I found out this information,” Lesnar said about Barnett’s shocking career choice. “I’m the guy that everybody’s been pointing the finger at, that’s been [considered ] the “Steroid Freak” and I find it ironic that I’ve been given this rap my whole career, and you find these [MMA] guys [that test positive].”

The former WWE employee was shocked that someone of Barnett’s caliber and credentials would even flirt with the juice – again – considering what was at stake.

“You just can’t believe they stick their necks out and risk their careers for any of that,” Lesnar said. “I think it was a bad move on Josh’s part.”

When asked if he would like a crack at Fedor, Lesnar stated that he would love to take on the world’s consensus top ranked heavyweight, at some point.

“Ultimately, someday, I hope,” Lesnar hesitantly said about the prospects of facing Fedor.

Perhaps in the most humbling moment of his career, probably the only humbling moment, Lesnar opened up about his rawness to the sport of mixed martial arts and the fact that he needs a lot more work before he legitimately challenges MMA’s Terminator.

“I think I have a lot to prove as a fighter,” Lesnar said. “I want to get a few more fights in and do it right. I’m not here to hotshot anything as far as the fight business. This is a business for me, first and foremost. This is how I make my living and that’s how I look at it.”
