Nokaut has reported that ProElite/EliteXC has offered the #1 fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko a four-fight contract that would have his first two fights air on CBS and the latter two on Pay-Per-View where Fedor would get a portion of the Pay-Per-View sales.
The report also attempted to clear up the rumor that Sherdog reported regarding Fedor’s lack of a contract with M-1 Global.
Here’s what Nokaut had to say about Fedor’s contract with M-1 Global:
“”I have seen the contract and watched it being signed by all parties,” M-1 Global VP Brian Patton confirmed on 19 March.
ProElite’s offer supports Patton’s claim, requiring Emelianenko to be announced in ProElite fights as “M-1 Global’s Fedor Emelianenko”.”
All attempts to contact Jeremy Lappen, Head of Fight Operations for ProElite by Nokaut have been ignored up to this point but the deal sounds legit and we’ll have to wait and see what happens as this would be the best deal that Fedor could get in terms of winning over the American MMA fans.
