The biggest fight in the history of the WEC is set to take place on June 1st as popular WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber will take on Jens Pulver in his biggest fight to date. The bout was officially announced via E-Mail recently, but was re-confirmed on last night’s WEC 33 on the Versus network.
Pulver is coming off of a short but dominating victory over fellow Featherweight contender Cub Swanson. Like Pulver, Faber is also coming off of one of his most impressive victories of his career as he out Jiu-Jitsu’ed Jeff Curran.
WEC 34 will be the second out of the last three events to take place outside of Las Vegas as they will head out to Northern California to Arco Arena where the NBA’s Sacramento Kings play.
Faber should have the fans behind him as the fight is pretty much taking place in his backyard, but I doubt that it will even phase the experienced Pulver who is looking to take Faber’s title.
