UFC Welterweight Champ Georges St Pierre

Josh Koscheck fans might be in for an early Christmas present this year. The controversial wrestler will be entering tonight’s UFC 124 fight against welterweight king Georges St-Pierre as a significant underdog.

That typically isn’t the best indicator that a championship celebration is in the making, but Cain Velasquez was a heavy ‘dog against Brock Lesnar in the main event at UFC 121 and managed to pull off the upset.

Nate Marquardt was a -250 favorite to take down Yushin Okami in the featured contest at UFC 122. Unfortunately for the Gambling Gods, they were incorrect there as well.

Long shot Quinton “Rampage” Jackson completed the trifecta last month at UFC 123 when he beat Lyoto Machida. Can Koscheck possibly keep the upset express rolling when he enters the French-Canadian’s backyard?

GSP is pegged as a mammoth 4-to-1 favorite to retain his title and collect his eighth consecutive victory when he steps inside the Bell Centre in Montreal this evening.

Here is the GSP vs. Koscheck betting line (Courtesy of BetUS):

Georges St Pierre -400
Josh Koscheck +300
