According to MMAJunkie.com, Kenny Florian has suffered an undisclosed injury and will be forced to pull out of his critical “UFC Fight Night 23: Fight for the Troops 2” bout against Evan Dunham.

The lightweights were expected to headline the January 22nd event at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas.

No word on whether the scrap will get pushed back to a later date, or if Octagon brass will dig into their WEC-boosted roster to fill Florian’s void.

Dunham was last seen getting robbed of a decision win over Sean Sherk at UFC 119. Although it appeared as though he had done enough to beat the former champ, two of the three judges sitting cage-side disagreed. (Does this story sound familiar?)

Florian holds a respectable 13-5 mark, but was accused by UFC president Dana White of choking in his last outing against Gray Maynard.

Spike TV is expected to broadcast “Fight for the Troops 2” live at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
