The Nevada State Athletic Commission has suspended seven “The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale” contestants, including TUF 12 finalists Jonathan Brookins and Michael Johnson, for various injuries sustained in their respective bouts.
While Brookins left Las Vegas with the six-figure UFC contract, it wasn’t without consequences. The Octagon’s latest star must have his left foot X-rayed before a timetable can be set for his return. If his foot is fractured, Brookins must sit out until June 3rd, 2011 or be cleared by an orthopedic doctor.
Johnson needs the second-finger on his left hand examined before continuing.
“The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale” took place this past Saturday inside The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
After getting pummeled in the 1stRound of their featured contest, Brookins turned the tables in the final two stanzas and rode his wrestling skills to a unanimous decision victory.
