According to MMAJunkie, Saturday’s “Strikeforce Henderson vs. Babalu II” event peaked with 465,000 viewers for the main event between Dan Henderson and Renato “Babalu” Sobral.

The Showtime broadcast averaged a 1.2 household rating and 341,000 viewers.

“Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu II” took place December 4th inside the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

To say the San Jose, California based promotion ended their year with a bang would be an understatement. The televised card featured four highlight reel (T)KO finishes – three coming in the 1stRound – to go with one lopsided unanimous decision.

Speaking of scraps decided by the officials sitting cage-side…

UFC counter-programmed Saturday night’s show with a freebie Spike TV broadcast of “The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale.” All five of their televised fights went the distance, with Leonard Garcia’s controversial split decision over Nam Phan hoarding all the headlines.
