Although the Octagon’s graphics department haven’t created the event’s OFFICIAL poster, it didn’t stop the world’s biggest mixed martial arts show from confirming the main bouts for UFC 127.
The UFC announced the card’s featured contests between Jorge Rivera and Michael Bisping, as well as Jon Fitch vs. BJ Penn early Monday morning. Fast forward several hours and the company confirmed the remaining fights on the pay-per-view broadcast during a press conference in Sydney, Australia.
As expected, a welterweight scrap between Carlos Condit and Chris Lytle will appear in the televised portion of the event. The veterans are hoping an impressive finish will propel them up the 170-pound totem pole.
The Australians will be well represented on the main card, as up-and-comer George Sotiropoulos returns home to face Dennis Siver in a critical lightweight shootout. Fellow Aussie Kyle Noke will face former “The Ultimate Fighter” housemate Chris Camozzi in a middleweight tango, as well.
Additionally, the UFC announced James Te Huna will be taking on Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Perosh will meet Tom Blackledge in a pair of dark matches.
The event takes place inside the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia. Due to the time difference, the card airs live on February 26th in North America.
