WEC Bantamweight Champ Dominick Cruz

It’s understandable why most fans believe the Octagon already hosted their end of the year bash when UFC 124 wrapped on Saturday. However, the Gambling Gods would like to remind betters “WEC 53: Henderson vs. Pettis” takes place inside the blue cage on Thursday.

Unfortunately, the powers that be seem to have already punched the Holiday clock. Although the WEC’s grand finale goes down tomorrow inside the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona, only the lines for the card’s featured contests have been made available.

On the bright side, they are the two that count the most.

Bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz is more than a 2-to-1 favorite to retain his title against Scott Jorgensen in the night’s co-main event.

A scintillating 155-pound battle will headline the Versus broadcast. Ben Henderson is pegged at -175 to upgrade his moniker to ‘Co-UFC Lightweight Champion’ when he faces MTV star Anthony Pettis.

Here are the available odds for WEC 53 (Courtesy of BetUS.com):

Scott Jorgensen +175
Dominick Cruz -220

Anthony Pettis +145
Ben Henderson -175
