Rumors have been running rampant over which fighters will serve as coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter 13.” Two middleweights that won’t be passing along their trade secrets are Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen.
One of the many things UFC president Dana White announced today in Brazil was the shuttle-riding rivals will not be in the next installment of the highly popular reality show – much to the dismay of fight fans across the globe.
According to MMA’s ultimate shot caller, the TUF 13 coaches will be determined this Friday. However, White added the highly coveted gigs won’t be revealed immediately.
Conspiracy theorists believe what might take place tomorrow night at “WEC 53: Henderson vs. Pettis” could influence White’s decision. Bantamweight Dominick Cruz will defend his title against Scott Jorgensen in the card’s co-main event.
If he’s able to get past his gritty challenger, it could blast open the doors for a rematch with Urijah Faber. Since the blue Octagon will soon go bye-bye, TUF 13 could serve as a solid tool in generating exposure for the UFC’s newest editions.
Taping for the show is expected to begin in early 2011.
