UFC Promo 127 Poster Penn Fitch Bisping Rivera

The Octagon’s second dip in Australia’s pool has equaled the record-setting success that UFC 115 achieved in Vancouver. The world’s premier mixed martial arts organization announced all available seats for “UFC 117: Peen vs. Fitch” were sold in only 30 minutes after tickets were released.

“We will have just over 18,000 fans in attendance at UFC 127 in nine weeks’ time and expect to blow the roof off,” UFC UK president Marshall Zelaznik told CBC.ca.

Acer Arena, which held UFC 110 this past October, will once again host the Octagon’s trip to the land down under.

Thankfully for Aussie fight fans, UFC officials had some seats in reserve for the February 27th event (airs live on Saturday the 26th in North America). Zelaznik reported the promotion will add 600 seats for their latest Sydney show.

UFC 127 features a welterweight bout with serious title implications, as BJ Penn looks to make another run towards the top of the 170-pound division against former top contender Jon Fitch.

Michael Bisping will take on Jorge Rivera in the night’s co-main event.

UFC 115 took place in June inside the General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Former middleweight champ Rich Franklin unofficially knocked former 205-pound king Chuck Liddell into retirement in the card’s featured contest.

Here’s a look at UFC 127’s rumored card:

Preliminary Bouts:

Maciej Jewtuszko vs. Curt Warburton
Riki Fukuda vs. Nick Ring
Spencer Fisher vs. Ross Pearson
Anthony Perosh vs. Tom Blackledge
Alexander Gustafsson vs. James Te Huna

Main Bouts:

Chris Camozzi vs. Kyle Noke
George Sotiropoulos vs. Dennis Siver
Carlos Condit vs. Chris Lytle
Jorge Rivera vs. Michael Bisping
BJ Penn vs. Jon Fitch
