Dream Poster 2010 Dynamite

In an attempt to add some drama to a rather boring MMA news week, Dream has finally confirmed Alistair Overeem’s participation in their highly anticipated “Dynamite!! 2010” extravaganza.

Unfortunately for fight fans, that’s the only bit of info the Japanese promotion released regarding Strikeforce’s reigning heavyweight king.

There are reports former UFC stud Todd Duffee agreed to challenge Ubereem, but it appears he is having “issues” with Japan.

Duffee even claimed on his Facebook page Tuesday that he’d be fighting Overeem on New Year’s Eve. However, the controversial wrestler removed the post shortly after.

Overeem vs. ??? was initially rumored to determine Dream’s first 265-pound champ, but it seems that chatter has been quietly put to bed.

The promotion also announced Jerome Le Banner will face Satoshi Ishii and Sergei Kharitonov would battle Tatsuya Mizuno on December 31st. In addition, an “IGF special rules” bout between Bob Sapp and Shinichi Suzukawa has been added to the blockbuster show.

HDNet will broadcast the end of the year bash live in North American at 4AM ET/1AM PT.

Here are the fighters expected to compete inside the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan:
