Strikeforce Heavyweight Champ Alistair Overeem

Fortunately for fight fans, Todd Duffee decided to accept a fight with Alistair Overeem at the last minute. Unfortunately for the former UFC up-and-comer, his time inside the ring at “Dream: Dynamite!! 2010” lasted all of 19 seconds.

Duffee came out charging right after the bell sounded, but Overeem stood his ground as the behemoths started swinging away.

Fourteen thrilling seconds later and Duffee was unconscious courtesy of an Overeem left hook.

As HDNet’s color commentator Michael Schiavello likes to say, “Goodnight, Irene!”

“Ubereem” bumped his professional MMA record to 34-11 (1NC) with the 1stRound finish. He now dons Dream’s interim heavyweight belt to go along with the Strikeforce title he has hanging on his mantle. The chiseled 265-pounder also claimed the K-1 World Grand Prix title just a few weeks back.

Duffee, on the other hand, has now dropped two straight fights. He was perfect through his first six pro contests.
