Ellenberger, Torres and Banuelos Nominated for UFC 126 Tequila CAZADORES Spirit Award

The Octagon’s official hard liquor supplier has released the nominees for UFC 126‘s Tequila CAZADORES Spirit Award. The accolade is presented to UFC fighters who have demonstrated honor and integrity, both inside and outside of the cage.

These nominees have embodied the core values of social responsibility, sportsmanship and dedication to mixed martial arts. Tequila CAZADORES will present a $1,000 check to the winner’s designated charity.

UFC 126: Siva vs. Belfort” takes place February 5th inside the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here are this round’s set of nominees:

Jake Ellenberger is a welterweight fighter known for his well-rounded fighting abilities. Prior to his career with the UFC, he studied Psychology at the University of Nebraska and worked as an assistant wrestling coach. Ellenberger is committed to helping people in need and chose to support the National Organization of Rare Disorders.

Miguel Angel Torres is a former WEC Bantamweight champion and has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Prior to his career in MMA, Torres attended Purdue University and worked as a Radiologist’s assistant. His mission is to raise awareness about breast cancer and is the reason he chose to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Antonio Banuelos is a fearless mixed martial artist who competes in the bantamweight divsion. He is known for his strong wrestling and great conditioning. Banuelos understands the importance of giving back to his local community and chose to support the Tulare Athletic Boxing Club in Tulare, CA.
