Last week Dana White turned down the proposed idea of his Middleweight champion in Anderson Silva boxing against Roy Jones Jr. Both Jones Jr. and Silva are hopeful that the fight may take place at some point in the future though. Silva told Sherdog, “I’m still confident this fight will happen”.

Jones Jr. was on the Sherdog radio network on Wednesday where he confirmed that he was willing to box against Silva, but that Dana White and the UFC were the ones who shot down the fight.

On top of wanting to enter a boxing ring against one of the greatest pound-for-pound boxers of all-time, Silva is planning on moving to the United States. We’ll have to see how this affects his Blackhouse training camp that is currently based in Brazil.
