Two belts will be on the line this Saturday at “Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Cyborg.” Unfortunately for both challengers, the Gambling Gods don’t give them much of a shot at leaving the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California with any jewelry.
Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza is nearly a 2.5-to-1 favorite to make his first successful middleweight title defense when he meets Robbie Lawler in the night’s co-featured contest. The Brazilian has won his last three contests, including a unanimous decision victory over Tim Kennedy in his last outing to capture the vacant crown.
Nick Diaz is an overwhelming 3.5-to-1 odds-on favorite to retain his welterweight crown against Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos in the card’s main event. Diaz hasn’t lost a fight since November 2007.
He’s emerged a completely different fighter since settling in the 170-pound weight class in early 2010.
Showtime will broadcast tomorrow’s show beginning at 10PM ET/PT.
