Televised Bouts Confirmed for “Strikeforce: Columbus”

Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Rafael Feijao Cavalcante

As expected, Strikeforce has confirmed a pair of championship scraps will headline their March 5th event in Columbus, Ohio. In anticipation of their Buckeye State debut, the organization announced the four bouts that will appear in the Showtime broadcast.

Light heavyweight champ Rafael “Feijao’’ Cavalcante defends his crown against Dan Henderson in the night’s featured contest, while Marloes Coenen puts her 135-pound belt on the line against Miesha Tate in the card’s co-main event.

In addition, American military hero Tim Kennedy will stand opposite Luke Rockhold in a middleweight affair, and undefeated Billy Evangelista will take on Jorge Masvidal in the night’s final televised fight.

The event will take place in conjunction with The Arnold Sports Festival, the nation’s largest health and fitness exposition founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

A special ticket pre-sale for “Strikeforce Insiders” begins tomorrow, February 1st at 10AM CT and ends Thursday at 10PM CT. Fans can sign up to become an “Insider” at Strikeforce.com.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 4th at the Nationwide Arena ticket office, online at Ticketmaster.com and Strikeforce.com.
