“Strikeforce: Columbus” takes place March 5th inside the Nationwide Area in Ohio. Tickets for the company’s debut in the Buckeye State go on sale this morning.

Light heavyweight champ Rafael “Feijao’’ Cavalcante defends his crown against Dan Henderson in the night’s featured contest, while Marloes Coenen puts her 135-pound belt on the line against Miesha Tate in the card’s co-main event.

“Everybody knows about Dan Henderson and what he can do and how hard he hits,’’ said Feijao. “This is going to be a very exciting fight. I worked very hard to get back to where I could fight for the title. Now that I have won it, I’ve been working even harder to keep it.’’

Henderson, on the other hand, looks to build off his December knockout victory over Renato “Babalu” Sobral that earned him next dibs. He’s won four of his last five scraps overall.

“I want to thank Strikeforce for this opportunity to fight for the title,’’ said Henderson. “That last fight got me back on track. I’ll be ready for anything, but mostly I’m expecting a flat-out war.’’

A special ticket pre-sale for “Strikeforce Insiders” begins this morning at 10AM CT and ends Thursday at 10PM. Fans can sign up to become an “Insider” at Strikeforce.com.

The general public will have access to the remains on Friday, February 4th at Ticketmaster.com and Strikeforce.com.
