It wasn’t quite the Nike deal Michael Jordan inked way back in 1984, but Jon Jones’ multi-year endorsement contract with K-Swiss and FORM Athletics could still make “Bones” a household name.
Just days before he meets Ryan Bader at UFC 126, K-Swiss announced they have added the light heavyweight to its stable of performance training footwear ambassadors, as well as FORM Athletics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of K-Swiss.
“I’m excited and honored to be part of the K-Swiss family, representing both K-Swiss and FORM Athletics,” said Jones. “Working closely with Urijah [Faber] is special to me, everything he touches turns to gold – he is and will always be a champion.
“It is my mission to create and develop products that include my personal style and will advance athletic performance in both training and competition.”
As part of his expanded deal, FORM Athletics will release a ‘Jon Jones Signature Collection’ of performance and lifestyle apparel for both in and out of the ring.
The skyrocketing superstar will also be collaborating with K-Swiss on a signature shoe.
FORM Athletics launched in early 2010 and has quickly established itself as one of MMA’s most popular labels. In addition to FORM co-founder and former WEC champ Urijah Faber, Jones joins fellow UFC studs Anthony Pettis, Mark Munoz, Scott Jorgensen and Joseph Benavidez under the brand.
NFL stars Jeremy Shockey of the New Orleans Saints and Patrick Willis of the San Francisco 49ers are also endorsed by K-Swiss.
