After releasing a less than spectacular event poster for “UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch,” the Octagon’s graphics department has issued a mulligan and the revamped billboard is much improved from their original illustration.
Their initial monstrosity was painted in orange and black, as if the Aussies celebrate Halloween on February 26th.
Regardless, it’s not as though the card needs any additional promotion. The world’s premier mixed martial arts organization sold every available seat inside the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia in a record-tying 30 minutes.
UFC 127 features a welterweight bout with serious title implications, as BJ Penn looks to make another run towards the top of the 170-pound division against former top contender Jon Fitch.
Michael Bisping will take on Jorge Rivera in the night’s co-main event. A critical lightweight contest between George Sotiropoulos and Dennis Siver will also go down in the land down under.
