“UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch” is well underway inside the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia. All seven preliminary bouts are officially in the books, as fans were treated to five freebie matches on Facebook and ION Television.

Former Pride veteran Mark Hunt secured his first victory inside the Octagon. The heavyweight rebounded from his submission loss to Sean McCorkle this past September by stopping Chris Tuchscherer in the 2ndRound of their hotly-contested scrap.

The most questionable result on the undercard went in favor of former “The Ultimate Fighter” contestant Nick Ring.

It seemed as though the Canadian had been thoroughly outwrestled for the better part of his 15-minutes affair with Riki Fukuda. Unfortunately for the Japanese fighter, who was making his big league debut, all three judges believed Ring had won the first two rounds and awarded him with a unanimous decision victory.
