“The Ultimate Fighter 14” Tryouts on March 21st, Featherweights and Bantamweights Wanted

Calling all wannabe mixed martial artists! Spike TV and the UFC have announced that tryouts for “The Ultimate Fighter” will take place on Monday, March 21st. The 14th season of the hit reality series will feature the featherweight and bantamweight divisions.

Some of the sport’s most popular athletes have come through TUF, with both Rashad Evans and Forrest Griffin eventually moving on to become light heavyweight champions.

For those who are serious about trying out, you’ll have to make the trek over to the Marriott at Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey (Grand Ballroom D & E 1 Hotel Road 973-623-0006).

Everything starts at 8AM local time, but it is highly recommended that you arrive early to ensure you’ll get your shot at making it onto the small screen.

All fighters are required to bring their own gear, so come ready to compete!

Outside of being a 135-pound or 145-pound fighter, all potential participants must meet these three simple requirements in order to audition:

1. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
2. Applicants will grapple and hit pads so please dress appropriately and bring all necessary gear
3. Participants MUST HAVE a professional MMA record with at least THREE (3) fights
