Dan Henderson not only left the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio with the Strikeforce light heavyweight title in tow, but the newly crowned champ was also rewarded handsomely for his highlight-reel TKO of Rafael “Feijao” Calvacante.
Hendo pocketed a flat $250,000 salary for merely entering the cage this past Saturday, while Feijao took home only $28K for his 3rdRound face plant.
Although Marloes Coenen escaped the Buckeye State with here 135-pound belt, she earned only $10,000 for her come-from-behind victory over Liz Carmouche. The last minute-substitute, who nearly turned into an upset specialist, made $5,000 for her performance.
