According to MMAMania, Mark Munoz will make a quick turnaround from his even quicker 54-second TKO victory over C.B. Dollaway at “UFC on Versus 3.” Just eight days removed from his impressive win, the popular Filipino-American is expected to face jiu jitsu specialist Demian Maia at UFC 131 on June 11th.
Munoz owns an impressive 10-2 professional record, finishing six of his opponents before the final horns have sounded. He’s rattled off wins in five of his last six outings.
Maia has parlayed his superior submission skills to an underrated 14-2 resume. Similarly to his middleweight counterpart, Maia is also riding a two-fight win streak. He was last seen posting victories over Mario Miranda and Kendall Grove, respectively.
UFC 131 takes place inside the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. A heavyweight top contender showdown between Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos is slated to headline the show.
