UFC Welterweight Diego Sanchez

Although Martin Kampmann battered Diego Sanchez’s face beyond recognition at “UFC on Versus 3,” Sanchez claims the Dane’s punches packed very little power. Oh, and Diego “Don’t Call Me Nightmare” didn’t stop there when discussing their instant classic.

“Dream” aggressively took to his Twitter account Friday morning, as it appears Kampmann’s requests for a rematch have gotten under his skin.

While Sanchez’s face inflated to disgusting proportions, he managed to leave Kentucky with a highly controversial (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) unanimous decision win over Kampmann earlier this month.

Not only did UFC president Dana White award Sanchez and Kampmann each with the extra $40,000 ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus, he later tacked on an ADDITIONAL $120,000 for each fighter.

Here is what Sanchez tweeted Friday morning:

@MartinKampmann you really want a direct rematch? I trained no boxing! zero! I just wrestled my ass off I underestimated your td defense.

@MartinKampmann and had to resort to my streetfighting loco skills and almost droped you I seen your legs. i was not in my best shape.

@MartinKampmann like @danawhite said that was the softest he ever seen me. Thats 2 L’s in a row you need a win real bad.

@MartinKampmann plus you just lost two in a row u need to #earnit get a W then we can talk rematch.Your punches had snap to cut but no power

@martinkampman wouldnt shut up about a rematch, Do u see me begging 2 rematch fitch that was a split decision.

@martinkampmann watch it again I got hit off balance while jumping in for a hook! In no way dazed me not at all.

@MartinKampmann if we fight again it will be a even better fight. If it happens it happens your always a fun fight.

Kampmann PROMPTLY responded:

@DiegoSanchez505 let’s make it happen then

Sanchez quickly fired back:

@MartinKampmann if I can’t get a better fight that a win would move me up the ladder, I would love to fight you again! #Realtalk
