UFC Urijah Faber WEC

Erik Koch vs. Cub Swanson: Take Two. The featherweights were first slated to square dance last month at “UFC on Versus 3,” but an injury forced Swanson to withdraw from the contest. The thrilling matchup has been rebooked for “UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber II” on July 2nd.

“Rising star Erik Koch, who took home ‘Knockout of the Night’ at the stacked UFC 128 event, will take on Cub Swanson, who earned ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors in his last outing,” stated UFC president Dana White.

Swanson has earned “Fight of the Night” honors in his last three victories, including his hotly contested WEC 52 win over Mackens Semerzier this past November.

Koch, on the other hand, stormed onto the UFC scene with his impressive 1stRound knockout of Raphael Assuncao at UFC 128. Koch owns a dominant 12-1 record, with 10 of his wins coming by way of finish.

As expected, the middleweight shootout between Wanderlei Silva and Chris Leben was also OFFICIALLY announced for the star-studded show.

The card takes place inside the Mandalay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. A bantamweight title fight between Urijah Faber and champion Dominick Cruz will headline the pay-per-view broadcast.

Here are the athletes expected to work this 4th of July weekend:

Melvin Guillard vs. Shane Roller
