After six years of being the most powerful woman behind the Octagon scenes, Jen Wenk has decided to leave her post as director of public relations for the UFC to launch her own firm. StarPR Las Vegas will be taking over the public relations duties for Authentic Sports Management, the agency representing several MMA fighters including UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones and former friend-turned-foe Rashad Evans.

Wenk ran the tightest ship in the business, spearheading the most organized promotional events in MMA. She handled most major interview requests for the athletes, as well as for UFC president Dana White.

Wenk was also the gatekeeper as to which websites were credentialed to cover Octagon shows.

“I am honored to have worked for the UFC and with owners and visionaries Lorenzo J. Fertitta and Dana White for the last six years,” Wenk stated. “I only hope to continue my good public relations work in representing this dynamic new management company and many of the organization’s top fighters, including the new UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones, former UFC champion Rashad Evans and more.”

Wenk’s new partners couldn’t be more thrilled to have her on board.

“The Authentic Sports Management team is thrilled to work with Jen Wenk, as her PR accomplishments at the UFC are unmatched,” said Glenn Robinson of Authentic Sports Management. “Jen will now play a lead role in the media and publicity initiatives for Authentic Sports Management and our premier group of fighters.”

As for the hottest name in the game, “It’s a pleasure and an honor to have Jen Wenk, one of the best in the business, now on my team,” stated Jones.

StarPR specializes in developing and executing public relations plans and generating national and local media exposure, publicity and special events.

Wenk has 16 years of experience in public relations. She has worked for the Executive Chamber of New York, Governor George S. Pataki, CBS Corp., as well as the UFC. She earned a Bachelors Degree in English and History from Hunter College in New York City.
