After dropping two consecutive fights for the first time in his illustrious career, Fedor Emelianenko has decided to ditch his homeland of Russia and venture far beyond his comfort zone.

In an attempt to recapture his mojo, Emelianenko gravitated to Holland in order to train with four-time K-1 Kickboxing champ Ernesto Hoost. “The Last Emperor” started training there as early as March, and it appears he’s liked it so much he’s decided to extend his stay.

According to the trusty rumor mill, Emelianenko will return this July to headline Strikeforce’s first pay-per-view broadcast opposite Dan Henderson. The MMA icons are expected to meet in a heavyweight scrap, despite the 205-pound belt wrapped around Hendo’s waist.
